October 20, 2006 - Kiawah '06 pictures! Well the whole fam was back at Kiawah Island, South Carolina again this year. Sadly John, Hope, and Tyler weren't able to make it but we did have newcomers Will, Denise, and the South Riding Wojciech family. A magnificently huge thank you goes out to our benefactors Dave and Stacey Alpern for their generous hospitality to invite all of us to join them on their vacation. It truly was a great family event. It's times like these I realize how blessed I really am. We had 100% more kiddles this year too which was interesting. It definitely made things more…dynamic. But as you all know, being an uncle is my favorite pastime so I definitely enjoyed it : If you haven't seen them already, here are my sister Lynne's pictures from Kiawah. (pun intended) ) So are these pretty girls ) Awesome sand alligator courtesy of Babci ) No crabbies this year :( The tidal pool were there, but much smaller. I only caught two adult crabs the whole week. Caught plenty of mullet fish though. They tasted good. ) Sand, water, shovel...what else does Tommy Jack need? Nothing :) ) The neighbors ) It's hot tub time for mommy and sons ) I sure had fun with all those rafts ) The weather was party cloudly most of the week. Oh well, guess we couldn't expect the perfect weather like last year. ) Check out the bike rack at our place. My color-blind eyes beg to differ. ) Ah my old room...that bed is the greatest thing known to man. ) I should go to bed, but how can you resist with that TV? ) Somebody's tired ) Seepy-seepy night night Oak ) Is Granddad in heaven or what? ) Scott, Lynne, and I went to downtown Charlestown one evening. It was a great time. Here's where we ate: The Noisy Oyster. ) Awww ) Old slave-trading building on famour Market St. in downtown Charlestown, right near where we ate. Cool, yet very sobering. ) Scott, Dave, and I played golf at Cougar Point. Sweet course. ) Scott was my chauffeur ) Dave and Scott often shot before me :) ) The funny thing about this is not Dave's swing (just kiddn' my brother - he beat both of us pretty handily) but if you look closely on the bottom left of the picture about 10 feet behind Dave you'll see a black something. That's his cell phone. Before he shot, he receieved a business call and the guy was talking so much Dave put the phone down while he tee'd off. Haha, now that's what you call multi-taskin. ) Back on the beach. ) Chilln' ) Pretty scene, even though it's cloudy. ) I use the little ones as homing beacons to whoever has the food :) ) Chilla extraodinaire ) Water was nice and warm all week ) The kids chasing seagulls ) More ) Me ) Cool ceremony we had for the twins. Hey is that Aragorn?! Oh, it's Evan. ) We're a tough bunch of warriors ) Just kiddn'. e're a fun-lovin' bunch. Well I'm tough. ) Oakley will have the fork for dinner tonight. Can I get some ketchup with that? ) Lookin' a little mischievous...hmmm. ) We took a bike ride to the marshes - cool stuff ) The difference between a marsh and swamp?
