October 26, 2004 - My trip to the Carolinas

-I spent some time in North Carolina lately to visit my sister and her family and a friend.  It was really cool; just a great time of relaxation, fun, and fellowship.  I took my M3 down there and ended up logging over 1000 miles on it (yikes), but the ultimate driving machine performed flawlessly.  I was pleased.
It was so much fun playing with my nephews the whole time too.  From jumping on their trampoline, swimming in the pool, or just playing Gamecube all day, it was tons of fun.  I love those guys!  I also got some good time with my sister and brother-in-law which was sweet also.  Living so far away, I don't usually get good time with them, but this trip was quality.  I also got a chance to visit my wonderful cool friend Mary along the way too.  One of the days I drove down to where she goes to school in South Carolina and we had some really good quality time also.  And to add to that, I got a chance to visit BMW Zentrum in Greer, SC too!  It's the awesome BMW museum right next to the only BMW factory in all of North America.  It's where they make all the X5s and Z4s you see driving around. Take the virtual tour at their site!  I hadn't even planned on going there beforehand, but when I saw a sign off 85 that said "BMW Visitors Center next exit," well I couldn't resist :)

I took a couple pictures of the trip as well as some with my family. (click on thumbnails)  All and all it was a wonderful trip. The Carolinas are truly a pleasant place.
