This past weekend I went on a retreat to Capon Bridge, West
Virginia. It was a small mountain town tucked away along the Shenandoah about 2 hours west northwest of
DC. The retreat's premise was for Christian artists to get together and just have fellowship, community,
and spur creativity in a peaceful environment. There were 12 of us (5 guys and 7 girls), and the creative
arts ranged from photography, painting, drawing, writing, printmaking, music, and a few others that I
can't remember. Anyways, it was just a good time to fellowship with fellow active creators seeking to
glorify Christ in their respective medium and also to reflect on God's creation itself; the quintessence
of the creativity we humans reflect.
Here are a few pictures I took of the farmhouse and surrounding
areas we stayed at, until my camera battery died. As you can see, photography isn't my gift, but it should
give you an idea. The last picture was taken by Brian Coker. Well his camera at least. A bunch of the
other extremely talented photographers are sure to share their photos so I'll link to them when I find out.
Thanks for looking.

Perfect ice hockey pond!

Modern farmhouse. It was cozy inside.

I love saying the word 'silo'.

Barns'n'stuff

I tried to find the keys to this "farm use only" vehicle...to no avail.

Other side of farm

Tell me that doesn't remind you of the Fellowship going down the Anduin River before they crossed under the Agornath?

Can't get enough Lord of the Rings associations? Neither can I :)

A couple cow skulls I found. This was down by the river and my theory is they drowned in a flood.
Notice my expert photography skills as I creatively included my knee or something in this shot.

The 'action' shot.
