My DVD's There they sit, in all their glory. Discs of wonderment, with great and grand a story. Fantastical vistas and immersive sounds, endless fantasies, knowing no bounds. Like a pillar of greatness, like a ziggurat of power they stand; the adventures of a lifetime, initiated by my human hand. Digital video discs, the name they bare, hours of entertainment, not a moment to spare. Subwoofers emitting pulses, pictures crisp and clear, neverending joy for anyone who's near. So I sit here now, in my abode so nice, surround sound and all, turn the volume up, not once but thrice. Yet I am alone, in my technological hide, wishing I could watch, with someone by my side. |
